It's a sign that this will be fluffy and sweet more than horny. It still might get horny though, the manga industry is pretty lewd even when publishing stories for boys. I'm rooting for fluff. Why is this classified as Shounen if the MMC is an adult?
Shounen is the demographic meaning the target audience not the age of the MC. Now as to why this is 1, I got no clue. Why is this classified as Shounen if the MMC is an adult?
I glanced at it, it's just implied sex and no nipples or genitals. It's still shonen. A big example would be Fairy Tail. You make intuitive sense don't get me wrong, but I present to you Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru: a shounen erotica.
First chapter I looked at (12.1) kinda blew this explanation all to heck.I glanced at it, it's just implied sex and no nipples or genitals. It's still shonen. A big example would be Fairy Tail.
In the west, it would be pg13 i guess.
That's also what I thought in the beginning, but I remember someone saying shounen also refers to the magazine the manga is in. So you can have seinen like manga in a shounen manga magazine and then it would be labeled "shounen".Its target demographic, not character age. Seinen has mature themes not suited for kids.
Easy answer why:You make intuitive sense don't get me wrong, but I present to you Dark Summoner to Dekiteiru: a shounen erotica.
Unless it's slice of life cute girls doing cute things that can easily be mistaken for shoujo.Seinen has mature themes not suited for kids.
Manga classification is usually done based on the demographic of the magazine in which it is published. The age of the MC usually but does not always match that classification. EDIT: I see this has already been answered...Why is this classified as Shounen if the MMC is an adult?
