Uhm akshually, You can clearly see this Tele has 2 humbuckers, just cause it's a tele doesn't lock this guitar to a jangly edge of breakup indies tone.

HH Teles can push high amps just fine and historically have been used in hard rock, metal and alt metal etc styles.

Humbuckers naturally hit the amp harder, produce thicker mids, and handle distortion way better than the stereotypical vintage single-coil Tele setup you're describing.

Now that I take a closer look i think you're right, they do look like the classic soapbar P90s more than a humbucker, I'll take the L on that one.

Still, those are not really in ballpark as twangy, bright sounds that classic single coil teles are usually associated with
