I love that they restricted her "villainy" to a few minutes a day because it's so obvious she's just acting that way and isn't actually bad.
Anywho~ off to read the web novel cause I'm rooting for avril.

The only thing I'm afraid of is when avril dumbass tendencies hits rock bottom and started to detach herself from dylan as a defense mechanism because she realize that she's falling for him

It was an odd choice by the author to have Carol accompany Avril there and then immediately go offscreen.
I think the maid was always on her side. Since she gives reports that omit whats actually going on, and she actually gave her dress advice not to buy the red dress.

I think it's interesting that Carol is giving Corina false information since at the beginning of this chapter, Corina reads that "Avril is living in an annex away from the main house (sorta true), is ignored by the servants (false), and has never met the Duke (hilariously false)"

So it seems like a sign that Carol is fairly moral if her family wasn't held hostage in some way, or extremely dense to not notice how well Avril's been treated.
