Genichirou is a little similar to the typical overprotective dad, but at least he's actually not opposed to Nanami having a boyfriend. He's just moderately protective and miffed his daughter lied to them about why she was gonna be home late. Tomoko is generally pleased about Nanami having a boyfriend. Saya was too sharp and knew she was out on a date, but she's also fine with the idea her sister has a boyfriend.

Hell, her entire family is happy she got herself a boyfriend! That's different from what I expected. Now that her parents know, this is going to make it even harder for them to break up at the end of the month when the "punishment" period is over. Her dad hates lies in particular so they'd be lying to him again about dating if they break up for that reason.

The solution is simple: Just keep going. Turn the fake relationship into a real one, because it practically already is.
