If she ends up with him its going to be an unhealthy relationship, because if he was unfaithful once there's no reason why he wouldn't do it again with another woman.

I have some tea with the fact that some of the readers can’t seem to differentiate between their past and current selves. The Cassiel that was in love with Angela was BLINDED by the fake kindness and love she showed him BUT this Cassiel is not the former Cassiel. The Cassiel we know right now knows nothing about Angela and seems to care about Rayna more.
This whole situation just reminds me of The Abandoned Empress manwha where Ruv was extremely cold to Tia and fell blindly in love with the korean girl (I can’t spell her name) BUT that was the Evil Ruv— The current Ruv is nothing like his past self.
Please don’t make assumptions that Cassiel is “trash” and let the plot play out for now since we don’t have control over it

I do wish Jayna was a little self-reflective about her workers. Why can't she conclude if she were interested in her workers lives, Angela wouldn't have been able to sway them. Like that's partially your fault. Because it's not like Jayna was bad to them, she just wasn't warm enough to them. I don't feel that way about Cassiel. He was just unfaithful and a horrible friend to Jayna.

Also, if Angela likes powerful men her age, why wouldn't she buy books on current peerage of the empire? Like before she arrived. Kind of strangely lazy for a power hungry villainess.

Finally someone else thinks the same! I also don't get it why people easily cast their judgement on Cassiel while we don't even know the entire truth yet. It's even heavily implied that Cassiel was drugged so he would blindly follow and devoted only to Angela. I mean he, to me, seems like a decent character that change his total behaviours because he was in control by someone else. Kinda reminds me of a manhwa with the same plot device (mind control) as the plot twist.

@Jaegerbach they're the same person with the same core values. If he was able to cheat on her once, his characters flaw is already there because decent people don't just do that. You can't judge someone's actions from n to z and ignore how their foundation as individual was formed from a to m.


Truth being told unless the person regresses to early childhood they shouldn't be trusted and the plot shouldn't easily redeem the character.
