I read this manga a long time ago. This manga really tugged at my heart about the cycle of life and death and the survival of the fittest mentality.

One of my favorite manga of all time, very rarely bother picking up physical copies but just HAD to for this one. It kind of drags at the start of the final arc, but the finale is absolutely fantastic.

This manga is really great. So intense, the emotions are overflowing. But i wish they would make more light-hearted episodes to make us relate more to the crew. The intensity is too great to the point it became a weakness. Maybe having fillers would be good for this series...

Fun series. Raiku might have bitten off a bit too much for the plot of the series and it might have had too many characters, as I stopped seeing my favorite characters as a result, but I enjoyed my time with it.

this and Konjiki no Gash are the GOAT character writing manga. This author really knows how to make the reader connect to the characters like no other

Just did a reread after 6 years and its still great. Now I have to reread Gash Bell but this one was special and really had powerful moments even starting from the first chapter.

A wonderful manga by Makoto Raiku of Gash Bell fame, regarding a world full of animals.

I definitely agree that there was a certain point where the story faltered and it became
Faudo arc 2.0
, but I thought the conclusion was very satisfying even when it shifted gears. That said it had a powerful start and an intriguing premise.

Oh and of course FEELS.

GET READY FOR THE FEELS TRAIN WHEN YOU READ IT

Problem was with the power creep, or escalation of the conflicts, and the human being unable to fight because of their setting (they were supposed to be weaker than animals without technology or weapons), so they had to introduce new animals to take on the enemies.

Yeah this series showed one of Makoto's weakesses. He always has to have an arc where he escalates things to 11 and that is where he loses the plot. Lots of great characters and not enough time to develop them all. He handled things better here than in Vector Ball though, but to really make his manga reach their potential he needs hundreds and hundreds of chapters which he didn't get here.

Giller was actually the better big bad i've seen on his stories, not great but the better one he's made.
