Nice to know Maid-san is just a goofy kid(?) and not just an unfeeling robot loli.
I imagined the stakes wouldn’t be as dire as last chapter implied, though I’m surprised the father was nonchalantly revealed...figured there would’ve been a surprise there.

Also, loved the design of that other vagrant dude — reminds me of a White Whistle from Made in Abyss.
