100% agree. The main story doesn't have much to go on in my opinion. Where the comic ended was perfect. This on the other hand was much more gripping and intriguing. I was blown away by how a nonsensical incest-based side story added quite a bit of "lore" to the story.

Even the romantic aspects are upgraded. I dislike incest, but the dynamic between regular sibling bond and romantic feeling are more interesting than anything the main story produced though that's not saying much. This might be due to all of the casts being more multi-dimensional. Angelica being arrogant, proud and dogmatic makes her much more interesting as a "villainess". Olivia's darker tendencies being on full exposure does the same as well. She felt more like a person than the half Mary Sue she was in the main story. Marie being more sympathetic and pathetic makes her more likeable rather than being a "foil". Her vain, pathetic attempt to rise up in the world mirrors our own struggle to climb out of our wealth level might have something to do with it. The overall darker tone certain helped. I hoped the boys love interests have expanded roles since they were supposed to be the heroes.

The CHARACTERS in the Marie Route web novel, which was poorly translated btw, had this misunderstanding. Both of the two basically have biased memories. The fact that Marie changed in her past life after her brother died didn't help.

This is because this story actually sticks to the premise as both are actually acting as mobs longer than the main series imo.

Marie complements Leon pretty well too which makes a very fun dynamic. Marie has the ambition but lacks power and money while Leon has all the power and money due to Luxion but lacks ambition beyond survival, so she drives the plot forward while Leon completes it. This makes Leon pretty active in this route.

the characters in this route is more interesting and complex, all in price of technically not incest...why cant the author made marie and leon to be childhood friends or something in this route??? that way they can use "she feels like sister to me" without it being squick with incest...
