People's complaints got me interested, so I looked it up. The light novel only has 2 volumes that came out in mid 2020, and nothing since. I guess by that you know why the artist is dragging it out.

I guarantee the "last resort" he has in this chapter is going to be one of many going forward because they will magically have a solution for literally everything. There's a couple different ways I can see this going:
1. All fights with that evil god's direct minions are at this level and MC better up his standards while going around thwarting the evil god's plans.
2. This turns into a world-building series where he goes back to legit assassinations and it focuses more on altering the faith of entire kingdoms to "kill" that evil god.
3. As other's have eluded to, things escalate from here and the story's end isn't far in the horizon.

I'd be fine if it takes route 1 or 2, to be honest.
As far as pacing goes, it doesn't really bug me all that much. Remember, this is JUST chapter 13, so it isn't very far into the story at all. There's tons of stories out there that are still early in the story at chapter 13. I personally don't mind if the intro arc takes time to play out. Much better than a single chapter intro arc, in my opinion.

NGL While I do agree that art carries this series I kind of dissagree that the it has no story, the premise trying to convert people and god being in play from day 1 is a pretty good baseline.

What come after is really what screw this series up, the art while great is basically dragging down the series with how much time is needed and this series basically doesn't do much after how many year has it been since released?

Also storywise killing evil god follower with assasination technique while trying to conver people was a good premise, but the author fuck up when satark is already county level and Layt have a goddamn nuke. I mean after this it's going to either universe level which would be jarring or go down hill.

A premise isn't the same as a story.... it's just the baseline FOR a story...

The author wrote too much story and most likely they don't have the time to polish it since it's concurrently publishing, I think it's about 6-7 novels ongoing at the same time. The guy should've focused on one rather than shotgun spraying like this.

The fight turned out to be grander than it supposed to be huh lmao. I thought after the princess party kills the underling, our sir villain here will be weakened or there will be some breaches in the barrier and our mc will exploit that then goes for the kill. But sir villain show his power and able come toe to toe with our mc. We came from 'easy assassination' contract from the king to the let's kill a human with god-like power. I wonder what kind of "assassination" attack our mc will deliver next. We are still in early chapter and we already got an overpower bad guy lol

Author's an isekai story mill quantity > quality type of person. It's clearly working too, 3 or 4 of his works have been adopted to anime already, guy's making bank.

I am not a fan of fanservice in character design when it gets so excessive. Inflatable balloons are not attractive at all.

But that was genuinely hilarious to subvert the surprise stabbing like that. Even if this series never gets an anime, that moment needs to be animated. And the fanservice design actually had a functional purpose.

It was just chefs kiss, so well done. From the genuine shock and despair seeing the princess stabbed, to the deadpan WTF from everyone including the Princess on the random rodents with miniguns obliterating the attacker, with the rodents congratulatory and the princess completely confused.



Anyways, looks like another idea to add to the list for my isekai. Storage treasure used by the most famous heroine or saints, renowned for its capacity and the ability to store much larger objects than the rare national treasure pouch type storage bags.

Only for this treasure to be a size adjusting(to wearer) brassière(or breastplate/armor) , that adjusts its capacity and size of objects that can be stored and retrieved from it. (limited to the size of opening(clevage))

With the female character discovering this after the fact, and after it was hyped up/foreshadowed in advance. (To her disappointment, as she doesn't have hardly any cleavage, where the saint/heroine of legend was a monster)

Which could be used for retroactive comedy, as that saintess/heroine could've been depicted previously in stories earlier as having used that treasure to store piles of large monster parts to the guild(surprising them), or help merchants/farmers in need transport their product. Perhaps even a rumor it was large enough that a kid once got lost inside.

It would be retroactively humorous because reader imagines taking them out of a knapsack or bag, but realizes with the current revelation that it was done via mega cleavage instead.

Like in a modern context you would hear of her using her bag to store the ingredients for a cookout, essentials like the drinks, bag of ice, meat packages, perhaps even some entertainment like some footballs, Frisbee, etc. Imagining unloading a large cooler or bags. Only for it to actually have been the magic of cleavage. "Hey the cooler is running out of drinks again, can you get some from storage and refill?" "Sure thing, here you go."(pulls out another carton of drinks)


So the female character would be excited to get this amazing legendary treasure and what it can do, only for the truth and her body proportions to crush those expectations.

Perhaps there even would be a tense situation after discovering this treasure where they think they need the legendary sword known to be stored inside, but she can only get the handle out. And then for everyone to turn and stare at the nearby obese man nearby and consider their options(

I can't decide where I would limit the capabilities of the storage(such as whether you could spoof it with fake cleavage, or whether it would be better to have the female character figure out some creative ways to make it work for her).

I also am toying with the idea of it being able to duplicate itself with the same linked storage space, limited for use in a party. Which could also be humorous if a situation called for that utility(like quietly sending messages via notes passed around inside). I am not a fan of cross dressing, but I think it could be funny to have a situation where the party members have no choice.


Anyways, I got way off topic here. This series is decent for isekai number 500k. It's cheesy and over the top in a way that is fun. A series where parts of it are so bad it becomes good again. It has its own identity and is not just generic slow life, or generic hero, or generic kicked out of party but secretly op.

My brain intellectually is dead in a series like this. But it is entertaining to see a "assassin" use a stealth bomber to essentially nuke a guy in a isekai. It's just so over the top it is fun. It takes things so seriously not serious.

Not sure about the pacing or longevity of the franchise. Particularly since it was already shown the way to beat the evil god is to uproot the belief in them, not just headshot. And once you start mininuking stuff, it's hard to grow or keep stakes going forward.

The pacing is all messed up, and we've defaulted to standard-issue shonen fight scenes accompanied by heavy-handed drama (the childhood flashbacks of the knights). This series seems to have lost what made it interesting VERY quickly.
