I wasn't using Mangadex in late 2020/early 2021 so i don't know it feels.

Good luck for those who want to hack into their database,
because you can't hack them anymore just by uploading some random php file as an image into the page.
MangaDex use some pretty solid (and regularly maintained) PHP tech for their api (unlike 4chan).
They ban your IP if you send too much request to their servers,
and even if you hack into their database, they can just drop the hacked one and the unhacked replicas.

Still, there is maybe a way to do that by making a supply chain attack where you put a backdoor into the app or server dependencies by contributing to those libraries (like the XZ backdoor from last year) but that might be a lot of work and you probably get bored on the process.
