@Tcof I really agree with you that the prologue had more heart, and I'm glad that we have it available in translation. The best reason for the first chapter being this way is most likely because the 80+ page prologue had to be pared down to a normal length for publication.
Good promise with this story though, so I'm following.
I agree with @Tcof and @kyn that the prologue/oneshot version had more heart. I quite enjoyed it, but then when I started the main thing I just couldn't get into the characters. The girl in the main story feels like one of those shounen story one-characteristic girls; suddenly she's this caricature defined by the difference between what she thinks her expression is and what her actual expression is.
Really a good story, with the right amount of drama. Short story like this are always good, sad that nobody bought the right to publish it I'd really like to have this in my collection.
cute. felt like it was longer than it needed but i think it tied up nicely and in the end the pacing was good overall. good characters. kind of wish we had more of the side characters. but yeah overall pretty cute. the mc dont have many annoying characteristics. i liked it
