This work started strong with good concept, falls apart partly due to binded too much on thematic choice. If it went traditional action fantasy route along with the balanced theme probably a bit better. My main qualms is the sword kid persona. This probably unnecessary addition, in the manga this doesnt seem too bad but in the anime he was mildy annoying and only provide additional meaningless interaction. Also, he has two seiyuu which deliver two conflicting persona ffs.

Now that the anime ended too and with its low rating of ~6.43 on My Anime List, I really doubt there will be more stuff about this.

Too bad the manga seemed to be only an ad for the LN, one which (the LN) I'll probably never read and it's not even because I can't imagine the actions and stuff that I'm reading in my mind, but animes and mangas do a way better job at portraying action scenes and emotions in my opinion.

Well... I'll miss The Survivors, but I'll miss Karan the most... she is the best character both in the anime and the manga, she has a genuinely innocent personality and not that kinda thing that looks like it's forced in most animes.

and yes, it turned into generic fantasy bullshit and disregarded their beginnings, all that shit about "swords of power" was rubbish, they wasted a TON of chapter on useless side stories and characters and devolved into a generic "power up" shounen crap

Found this manga recently, started reading with low expectations knowing about the axed end, and I still got whiplash and a big disappointment from that abrupt end.

Overall would not recommend. The art is gorgeous (except for a few panels with really weird anatomy) and there's a few interesting ideas but the world building feels mostly weird, plot is all over the place, can't hold to its initial premise for more than 15 chapters, and is not very convincing when it devolves into power of friendship tropes.
