Wait a sec, I swear I’ve read this series before, though it was much further along, but the art is different than I remember? Is this one of those series that had multiple different adaptations or something? Or is it just a different TL picking it up from scratch?

The first manga I've seen with an openly trans-affirming story beat that isn't the whole focus of the series.

The sister arc ruined this series for me. Watching an otherwise chill and enjoyable mc turn into a manchild obsessed with revenge for multiple chapters all to set up his supercool elaborate revenge on his abusive sister from his past life, making her suffer in a multitude of ways both physical and mental, when he could have just killed her at any time and be done with it makes him look pathetic. The fedora didn't help.
...and everyone else just goes along with it! Even the priestess who is supposed to be a saintly good person is a-okay with everything that happens because the mc is doing it and even helps his plan along.
Then when it's finally over and done with everyone lavishes him with praise and gratitude like he's a goddamn hero.
It's like I got a goddamn fakeout with this manga. If a series wants to be an edgy revenge power fantasy be my guest, but don't spend 60 chapters pretending to be a slice of life chill series and then do a 180.
...and then after this arc it goes back to being chill, like I'm still supposed to view the MC as the same casual old dude after he spent multiple chapters acting like a wannabe Light and getting praised for doing so.

why hasn't his sister shown up yet?? i swear she appeared before the kids went back to the academy??
also, he's been to the academy?? he met the older brother WITH THE MOTORCYCLE, the brother blows up a lab later trying to recreate the magic engine.
after he builds the bridge he takes the orphanage kids to learn to hunt, there's suddenly no little Johnny too??
the chickens were bigger than the orphans, why are they so tiny now??
they met the heroes summoned to the world to fight the evil god for the 4 goddesses in the same event, like a chapter or 2 later, where'd that go??
he explained that the goddesses usurped the god of creation and fought the priest off with their own holy power, where'd that go???
he goes into Ilumnas underground ruins and see's a giant Skeleton Kaiser, the ruins look like a modern city, HE FIGHTS A DEMON where'd that WHOLE ARC GO???
he destroys Metis's capital city where the heroes are summoned, a place thats sucking the world dry of all its magic, the Goddess Aqualata watches it happen, that's just gone now??
he meets Katou, another reincarnated person, and the roofeirs, winged people, a second set of heroes turns up with guns trying to avenge another hero who's actually alive and in love with the enemy princess, where did all that go??
theres just so much missing, wtf happened? the art style feels different so i guess a rework but they took so much out of it to the point the plot feels entirely different.

there's a different version of this story out there, one where he fights more readily, his abusive sister ends up there and he absolutely tears through her, at one point he even blows up an entire temple full of enemy god worshippers in the middle of their capital, this version feels hollow.I saw the description and was hopping for a more mature approach on the genre.
He is going to be spineless.
Not that caring for life is cowardice... But... Running away and acting only as a last option? I will follow, and I hope I get proved wrong. But I don't see much consistence in this one future.

What is it with the Japanese having middle aged men hooking up with barely legal teens in isekais? This is like the third series I have read where this occurs. The MC is always reluctant but everyone in world is just like "oh, age ain't nothing but a number when love is involved"... Muthafugga what?!?! It be especially egregious when an actual mature woman comes into the picture and the MC completely rebuffs her.

A painfully generic isekai. The only unique aspect is the author is a massive creep and probably needs his hard drives checked or to be on a list somewhere.
The MC saves the owner of an orphanage from being harassed. The scene then concludes with the MC sexually harassing the person he just saved by very loudly admiring her chest. Imagine just meeting someone and going "wow lady your boobs are huge, I mean look at those massive knockers. Awwoooggaaa " It's just brushed off as teehee that's just how middle aged guys have fun ?????
There's a cliche overprotective male family member. However, he quickly pivots to getting super horny imagining his granddaughter being violated, to the point where we see him, red-faced and panting, fantasizing about his granddaughter being gang raped by goblins.
In the middle of a story there's a random jump to the past to introduce a bunch of new characters, one of whom is a pedo, who rapes an very young boy off screen and it's just brushed past with a "oh youu~~~".
