Yeah, no I don't buy the "I was sleeping" excuse. Sounds like a thing a serial killer would say. If she was normal she'd have family or friends wake her up. Who's to say she herself wasn't the cause of the "sea of blood" she saw just outside the village? She'd be blaming bandits for the killings that maybe she was doing herself...
