I think it's fine to not translate sound effects. It's understandable.

And honestly, I'm laughing at this chapter. The melodrama was so funny in a macabre way. I get that this is supposed to be serious, and what she said was horrible, but it left me laughing.

I kind of want her to survive and be healthy just to see what else she does. Like the grandmother from Malcolm in the Middle. It would be funny in a way.
