For a story called "I want to eat Asahina-san's bento", there sure is a lack of actual bento.

All we got was a few panels showing her bento in ch1, and everyone saying it tasted bad.

I need a bit more context as to why her supposed gross bento is that big of a deal to him.

this guy is creepy as hell ngl. She already said no but he kept stalking her. I'm not feeling this MC, pretty autistic tbh.
As someone who actually is autistic IRL, I will say you are correct in your observation.

This protag has all of the signs of an undiagnosed autistic who has never gotten any mental health education.

These types of autists tend to suffer in life as they are left to fend for themselves, confused at why the world does not work out as they think it does.

Cause no one ever told them about their mental disorder.

Not gonna lie, his actions from a 3rd person view is extremely concerning. If I see someone following a person around even though they haven't given them their consent, I'd likely try to stop that person or I'd call police if it gets extremely concerning.

If someone were to follow me like that, I'd be scared shitless.

Yeah and the annoying thing is that I bet that she is going to get pressured into liking him by her friends :shamihuh:

You are just looking at him in a different light. Just open your mind and let enlightenment reach you.

I agree with the credits, this really does feel like an extension of the first chapter. Its not bad. It does a good job of firmly establishing the premise and this gives the FMC’s pov so it feels fresh despite being a repeat of the first chapter plot wise and gives hint toward her deeper story like we got for the male main character last chapter (this also establishes that they’re both likely going to be equal main characters with development).

I can see that and if that’s the case the male lead is both incredibly lucky and unlucky with his friend group. One straight man who’ll try, but not too hard, to point out his more worrisome actions/thinking and one girl who’s all for the insanity and go along with his thinking.

one friend who condones the stalking and another friend who enables it :V tbh Im still curious on how this plays out

But if you want something better with a similar character dynamic of a probably autistic male lead, read Tonari no Onee-san ga Suki.

At the very least Maki is presented as overall a harmless person, although obviously quite....intense? Intensely harmless? Even her friend didn't have anything negative to say about him ("Haven't you heard the rumors?" or what not), just that it was surprising that he had spoke to her.

Plus, Asahina was able to make a proper assessment that he wasn't actually his own mastermind in this situation.

If she is rich enough to have a maid and that breakfast then why the supposedly messy bento? Is she learning to cook?
