Well... point of no return. Hope author will save the girl..
There is no novel of this story, are you confusing this for some other work?He does actually in the novel
Right, the original source is a ero manga (aka hentai in the west). This is the vanilla version i guess. There is no novel of this story, are you confusing this for some other work?
This sounds uncomfortably close to how some people end up married.hey if he's not creepy enough to make her want to go back to her abusive household then that's a win in my book
Yeah, and the girl was nicer in the novel, too.He does actually in the novel
Do you mean the R18 fanbox version? I did see that floating around in the dex but I thought that was some sort of a spin off published along with this version and not a "source" material.Right, the original source is a ero manga (aka hentai in the west). This is the vanilla version i guess.
Yes, that's a spinoff. There's no source material as far as I know.Do you mean the R18 fanbox version? I did see that floating around in the dex but I thought that was some sort of a spin off published along with this version and not a "source" material.
I'm a little excited about thathey if he's not creepy enough to make her want to go back to her abusive household then that's a win in my book
You're not reaching. It's an observable phenomenon that only recently is such a big issue that anyone with mild observation skills can see it.You know those LN/Mangas with traumatized male MC that's been booming as a genre lately? Well, one of the criticism of that genre is "oh those male MCs are stupid and dumb for turning down any help or interaction from any girls (cuz who knows they might be sincere)"
Here we see the genders flip and now it's "eugh i bet the male is going to be a creep" or "i hope the protag is a girl or a gay guy so that he won't lay hands on her"
I mean, hey, I might be reaching, or reading too much into this or whatever but... it's an "interesting" observation nonetheless.
It's gotta be the boys, amirite boys?
You have any examples you can rattle off?You know those LN/Mangas with traumatized male MC that's been booming as a genre lately? Well, one of the criticism of that genre is "oh those male MCs are stupid and dumb for turning down any help or interaction from any girls (cuz who knows they might be sincere)"
Being traumatized? No.I don't think anybody begrudged Naofumi for his lowkey gynophobia (at least, from what I remember, he had some of that after his betrayal early on).
Creepiness factor is different between genders simply for biological reasons: as long as pregnancy and giving birth will remain massive investments of resources for women, affecting their lives for years, men will be the ones normatively seeking relationships and thus men will be the ones seen as creeps for showing attention inappropriately.I mean, hey, I might be reaching, or reading too much into this or whatever but... it's an "interesting" observation nonetheless.
