For a sec I thought there were no sidewalls, just a higher ceiling area to the right, and a random ass door just standing up in the middle of nothing. Then I noticed the left wall was the same, and realized Mangaka is just LAZY.

I don't get how failing one time with no losses makes the hero a disgrace. Losing the saintess to the other kingdom makes sense as something disgraceful, but it's totally different from this, and failing to take a castle shouldn't instantly stain his reputation like it seemed to. If taking the castle is supposed to be a meaningful achievement, it should be difficult such that victory shouldn't be certain, and he came back with all of his party members and no permanent damage.

Clearly it's exaggerated, but the reason pretty "suffice" imo
First, Hero kick Saintess, Saintess go to other Kingdom
Saintess accomplished a feat on that other Kingdoms, meanwhile hero party fails right after kicking her, so the Zilberta kingdom gains the main reason why Hero Party successful so far
And when the Kings from both nation meets, more butthurt because Zilberta king basically says "Thanks for giving us free big military/fighting asset lmao"

Which reminds me, why are the saintess here all specializes on Attack rather than Support?

Soara as we can see excels in attack magic and healing (well, thats the "banno"/omnipotent/allrounder part) but Eris only specializes on Attack magic... But no saintess specializes on healing?

well so far only 2 Saintesses revealed, which Soara and Eris, Soara as all rounder and Eris as attack focus
Maybe as story progressed, there will be other type like healing focus, buff focus, debuff focus, etc
And Soara is not "Omnipotent" yet as seen in this chapter she loses against Laura in swordsmanship

I honestly hope it’s not because she’s a woman, and more because of their origins + the fact he lucked out and became a big hero because he received a big power.

He wants to cast aside his humble origin, but his childhood friend, who he thought was mediocre because she didn’t get the same rank as him, was a constant reminder of his past weak self. Maybe he is projecting. “Look how pathetic she is without the power I was given…”, but he is now realising the girl was a hard worker. Won’t go back on his hatred because he’s bigoted now, so he looks down on lower ranking people. He doesn’t want to associate with them and having a lower ranking childhood friend was like having “dead weight”.

kind of hard to call it misogynistic when he agreed to swap her out for an actual S class saintess and thus far has only had the negative trait of being a liar and rank supremacist with none of the "women bad because they cant be controlled" BS that is overused in these

but considering how watered down the term has become who knows, maybe he will be by some loopy logic like many of these made for the west yuri mangas end up doing

Yeah... That's why I put other slashes as well... Since Banno can be translated to the other words I posted as well just in case someone reacts. As some title use omnipotent despite it's only one part of their skill (for example The Saint's magic power is omnipotent manga)

it's a thing in japanese texts, cause their words can have multiple meanings, so the word above is to show the reader the meaning used in that context
