Nova could do that without a chip, using the brain and I think he could reconstruct memories too... but IIRC it is something recent in-story, and it is because he refined his Karmatron theory in the micro-level.

But even then, the Embeyfow really have quite a few tricks in their sleeves, even if this here may be something secret even for them.

I admit not everything is fresh, but things at this moment are this... Erica and Yoko got picked up by the Guntral, Hilda here (the lady in command of this detachment of Kunstlers) sees promise in Erica's ruthlessness, so she helped the little devil get her salty runback with Zoe, but that was mostly because she heard Zoe had something really juicy.

She(Hilda) is a direct subordinate of Austad, who is one of the Altmeisters of the Guntral, he at this moment has a ceasefire with the Zonohedron, the big bad evil organization during this time period because of a strategic "bottleneck"... but he himself has his own designs of world domination.

There are a few other things, like the fact there was a legendary old Kunstler that had info on a lost Panzer Kunst style, who too had info exactly on the Genie of Mars that appeared in this chapter but knew other things too, and he left his info on special "hard drivers" in the form of leaves, one which little Yoko turned into her afternoon snack and became a super master Kunstler and is in contact with some mysterious overmind, albeit only unconsciously.

This is a vague resume, just unimportant background things compared to the fact that Erica is still her awesome salty little devil self and Yoko is adorable.

Dude, Kishiro Yukito is on a similar level as Kentaro Miura. The guy is a living legend in the cyberpunk genre, has been doing this story for almost 40 years now. You just don't axe an Alita manga.

The guy is old and probably has a delicate health because of the grind he did when he was young, leave him alone.

Dude, Kishiro Yukito is on a similar level as Kentaro Miura. The guy is a living legend in the cyberpunk genre, has been doing this story for almost 40 years now. You just don't axe an Alita manga.

The guy is old and probably has a delicate health because of the grind he did when he was young, leave him alone.

It's just funny to see how some people can maintain a consistent level of quality writing for decades, while others completely destroy their stories within a few years.

The movie is worth seeing. Would have been better if it was a series though.

Very much worth it.

There are differences, the large story clearly isn't the same as the manga (but I forgive because the manga story is just MASSIVE), and personally, I think Scrap City feels too clean in the movie, but everything else... the director nailed the important bits.

That something special this story has.

I forgot that the disease affected everything and even he were to transfer his brain to another vessel, it will still have the disease and more likely kill him the process.
