I never can really say when Erica is lying... but I can kinda know when she is sincere, despite being a smart and devious little devil, she does have worries.

But don't get me wrong... she is another that I bet could tell that is Keun in another body, like I said... smart and devious, and she did have a very good master in deception.

And Yoko's first keyboard... god... the moment Keun took it out of the box I felt a wave of nostalgia, sadness and happiness all mixed.

Despite the scuffed release schedule, I am so happy to be finally seeing the Gunthral inner workings and I prefer Kishiro-sensei taking it easy with his health.

I think I bumped into this series around... 2010, it was Last Order, I read it like I was possessed, the incredible art, the amazing world, the charismatic characters, the philosophical questions, and the fights... GOD... THE FIGHTS, this series destroyed my sense of taste in fight choreography and rebuilt it from the ground up, I could never look at some of the things I love before with the same eyes, and since then... very few stories have the same level of martial arts integrated with special powers and fight choreography.

Then I went to read anything I could find of Kishiro-sensei, especially the first series, actually... there is a funny story to that, I read Gunm Last Order first, I was new to manga still at the time so I didn't know how to search things or judge when a story had a "prequel", so I went a lot of time without knowing about that, then when I searched more about Kishiro-sensei I found out about BAA, and at the same time... I found out that during the time BAA was being made Kishiro-sensei had a very serious health problem, so serious that he was certain he wouldn't survive, so unfortunately at the time, he had to rush things up and made a "first series" only finale.

It was a good finale, rushed without a doubt, but it had a good emotional core to it, but now... it was around that finale that we had the first appearance of Alita's master, someone that we now know is actually some sort of "spiritual" overmind... Kishiro-sensei had a lot mapped out even more than 3 decades ago.

Fortunately, he recovered and went to do BAA:LO, and the finale was "discarded", and LO starts right after Alita and Nova's last confrontation on the surface of Earth.

I presume those problems still come now and then and that is why this series has such a "scuffed" schedule, but like I said... and especially now considering the names we lost in recent years... I prefer to wait, in a way, just having this story and the ones before is already a miracle.

By the way, I recommend looking at Kishiro-sensei's past works, there is a one-shot about a Motorball player that is VISCERAL, and the BAA Gaiden has some cool, funny, and sad stories about the people on earth.

Cool to have this kind of lore, and I never really thought about the process of getting a full-cyborg body, must be weird to see you old lifeless body...
This was before the methuselization process was perfected and then stolen and shared by Ping, which uses nanomachines, so people can stay flesh and blood, and it seems that it was pretty easy.

Don't know if the cyborgisation process is still like this in the present time, but by how far tech has come, I think it is much easier.

But it certainly was an interesting bit of world-building, more so with the considerations necessary for a child turning into a cyborg.

Cool, like always
This must be the first time Erica has been hugged like that by a non-psycho adult. Too late too little

Was it possibly because of a review by some channel awesome member, Benzaie, or is it just like that with me

Sadly I can't say it was, don't even know who they are actually, sorry.

You see, I am from Brasil, I discovered Gunnm by pure accident, during that time I was new to the internet and starting to reading manga too, which is a whole other story, there was a site called Uchiha here in Brasil and they were the ones translating it to portuguese, I read other series from the site, like Vinland saga, and that was how I discovered this series.

Despite saying I was new, I had already about 2 years searching manga on the net, I wasn't very good still even being a teen during that time I wasn't very good dealing with a pc, and my parents were a little illiterate with computers so they took a long time to buy one.

Actually... I didn't speak english during that time too, but because translations not only of this series but many others were a little too slow for my hyperactive teenage brain, so during my searches, I discovered that english translations came much quicker, so I "powered" through and kinda learned english XD.

Just a Frenchie Youtuber. I'm not even French, I just watched everything from that team back then.
I think I started reading Gunm around the same time as you, so I just assumed

This does feel like he's going to die soon and is saying his final farewells. Wonder how his last moments will go.

Not quite. "Wunsch" means "wish", yes, but "Tor" means "gate". Thus, "Wunschtor" means "wish gate" in German.
That actually brings a whole new meaning for why they named the place that.

Like they are saying "this is the place where our wishes and hopes go to be made" which is kinda sweet considering this is where kids go for their first steps in Panzekunst, but at the same time, in this world, you can easily uncover a more sinister reasoning behind the name too, or at least a hidden one.

My girl Yoko is growing up. So that's how her love for keyboad was born. Cute. Nice reference to the first part
