Time for my usual Chapter review
Huh, I don’t remember the last time we had a non colored double spread page 1.
Legoshi’s tail is erect again
While it is stupid that Legoshi didn’t realize females have different sizes, it just Legoshi was never interested to think about it. He was only interested in Haru, and didn’t think of them as sexually. Having a fetish =/= being lustful and thinking only of sex. Legoshi have seen different breast size since he used Wild-Kick and watched porn with together with 701 [in vol 6 omake], but Legoshi didn’t actually think of those breast as in real life. He isn’t a horny wolf
Also, Kyuu reaction shows she wasn’t thinking of sex when coming over.
Damn, Paru actually did a footjob shot…
I’m starting to dislike Kyuu here, since there is alway multiple options to change one heart, it is rarely an absolute choice. Besides, to become strong without meaning is pointless.
I like how wide eyed Kyuu get, as it shows her fear towards carnivores.
If Legoshi’s issue of feeling awe cause he a virgin, then he needs to have sex with Haru for more strength? Virgin feeling awe towards female is noted in other series, such Kaguya Wants to be Confessed to ch 169.
WTF, How is that a panda and a rabbit? That doesn’t even look like the Panda/Rabbit we saw in Ch 142?
The Gouhin kinda make sense as the one in BAM that well known for this. However, the fact he did not teach Legoshi Imaginary Chimera vs Riz…. My only attempt for this is Legoshi needed to develop his body first before building mental strength. Legoshi was still building his body first.
Minor note: But in other translation, Gouhin did not leave his wife, his wife left Gouhin. This is noted in the official italian translation of ch 69, and by others Japanese reader.
In the end, I don’t like this chapter too much. Not much of a flow, seems forceful with Legoshi weakness that it seems a bit unnatural.

People are going to be asking about the series ending: Every manga magazine have author notes. This week Paru had this note:
The end comes in sight. I'll run past with all my power until the end, so please follow me
That is different from normal notes. HOWEVER, it only said end, but not end of what. Could be End of Melon arc. Remember Paru admitted in interview that she did not know what to do after Riz, leading to the best filler arc

I personally think this is better than the last chapter, the interaction between characters is one of Paru's strong points in Beastars, and although I don't like Kyuu, seeing her react the way she did after knowing who trained Legoshi is cute, still let's hope this is not the last arc of the manga, I wouldn't mind a final peaceful arc before the end

I heard that Paru wants to end the series somewhere around volume 20, but I didn't see the source on it so who knows.
I can't stop seeing this rabbit as a balding dude with a 5-o clock shadow, so all the "sex appeal" that's there is just crushed by it and makes Legosi's awkwardness even more hilarious.
