can we split sssss into two: one for oneshots/money and one for more often stuff?
Or maybe have filtering done on the client, and have more fine grained control, ie: show certain groups on one page but hide everywhere else, or hide a group if there is any alternative chapter available?

Ran into an issue when sharing https://mangadex.org/chapter/952045 by the parent href https://www.mangadex.org/manga/51169, which is upped by https://mangadex.org/group/6856/sssss, which a lot of people have blocked.

People blocking them him will mostly not want to see any chapter from him anywhere. If you want to share it badly, better warn them first "this is a chapter provided to you by SSSSS" and suggest them to open it in private/incognito mode. If it has H tag, well it can't be help.

Anyway, the block function should be as inconvenient as it is. You either see all their chapters or get rid of them all.

first are you a member of the group? If so on the split into two wouldn't this be under the groups control.

I also don't think your suggestion would achieve what you want, unless I'm not understanding it. This, Isekai Sniper is the Female Warrior's Mofumofu Pet is marked as ongoing, not a one shot. From the comments I saw in at least one title the reason people were blocking them was their behavior in ongoing series, coming in and dropping one or more issues in a title, usually issues ahead of the current releases, basically spoilers. They hide them even and kind of because there is no alternative chapter. So showing them if there is no alternative chapter is not something many are likely to do. Even if they are the only group doing a title, they have stated in some comments that they are willing to jump around and do chapters out of order, so same basic problem for those who block them.
