The only way this could turn up even slightly make sense is if the 'harem' were all friends with each other and actually set this whole thing up to trick the mc as some big elaborate prank where they all betray him at the end. But seeing as this is a Japanese rom com harem school manga my theory is obviously not correct, but if I am correct i'd feel tremendously sorry for the mc and this manga would actually turn into something I want to read.
