This was such a lovely chapter. Pretty funny too.

Not so much just getting admitted to his university/school of choice, Kyotaro was able to overcome such a big mental hurdle that makes it not only a turning point in his life (as all turning points towards adult life inevitably are), but a moment of growth that will stick with him. Self-acceptance, the confidence to give your all independently of the results, and just as importantly, learning that you have others who care about you and that you can rely on (though sometimes they'll fumble the time to pick you up).

Cause I did all that, was the top of the class in school and university, and even then;

All was not well. (Connections matter WAY more than your grades kids, don't ignore those childhood friendships)

Yes, connections, relationships of all kinds, these are what matter in the end. Once you worked for a few years, nobody will give a shit anymore about your grades...

I was also at the top of the class in school without needing to put in any effort, and did well at university, and still, I wish I would have invested more effort into keeping connections from back then alive.
