But seeing as he’s going through all of this now, I don’t think we have to worry about him in the future. It truly is an imaginary/non imaginary graduation. I mean, they could have tried to play it out through high school, but I can definitely see why Sakurai wants to end it this volume. Better to leave things unsaid than keep things going and potentially try and draw from a dry well. This was a very specific time and place in their lives, and when they all move on to different schools things will be very different.
