It's only chapter 13, so it's probably too early for actual development, but the fact that the manga is a monthly makes it feel slower than it actually is. I mean most of these types of mangas would've dragged on the misunderstanding about Prez's crush far longer, but she found out about it relatively early in this one. It's just taking a long time for us.

He's clearly NOT ignoring her. He's pretty plainly struggling with the fact that he's developed strong feelings for Prez despite (thanks, presumably, to his incredible overearnestness) wanting to hold on to his dying feelings for his failed first love AND at the same time not get in her way.

That's why they complain. If the story progresses after the relationship and it doesn't show sex, the continue complaining.

That's not true. Horimiya is an excellent example (I loved all the post-confession moments with the two of them being loveable and loving dorks. Especially whenever Hori's family is involved.)


There's also various series that either start with a confession or being in a relationship. (e.g. My Fiancée is sweet with me {not the exact title}).

I think people here are more just tired of convoluted ways to keep a couple from forming. Somehow the author made sure there was pretty much 0 net progress here.
