People complaining about the ending. Azuki and Usui would never be together because Usui is only attracted to literal dolls. Meguru working out her trauma in any thorough way would have been pretty boring to read (12 chapters of therapy). She realised the source and reconciled her feelings and her treatment of Azuki. Azuki finally gets to be with Meguru, the person she wanted regardless of whether she could “do better”. And as for Niji, her arc end was already finished off. Usui said she still wanted to be friends but Niji couldn’t get past her own delusions, so there’s nothing she could really do about that. Could it have been drawn out more? Possibly, but it would probably be just rehashing the same old situations over and over.

This is the happiest ending: three people accepting and loving each other’s “disgusting” parts. And if you think otherwise it’s YOU who thinks their loves are “disgusting”! 😤😤😤😤

This has been such a fun, wild ride. Usui Shio is truly something else. This ending was spectacular, as expected. I wish Usui Shio would have a new yuri manga sometime soon, cause they write the best yuri. I'll have to wait, but it'll be worth the wait.

Thanks for the translation!

What a depressing ending. Not only did Azuki settle for Meguru even though she could do way better, we didn't even get a single panel of Best Girl Niji in the final chapter.
"Best Girl" and "Niji" in the same sentence 😭. Wished we at least got a conclusion of her whole delusion arc and whatever was going on with her. Makes me question why it was even explored it was never going to be concluded.

Not sure how to feel about this ending, I won't say it was bad, but definitely one of the worse endings I had in mind. On the one hand all the key characters are more confident in the "weird?" parts of themselves. But I can't help but feel that Azuki is SETTLING for Meguru, She called you disgusting and basically traumatized you because of something completely unrelated to you (even though we know why she did that). Meguru breaks up with Azuki because of what she saw and projecting onto Azuki > Azuki goes through character development alongside Remu, and they accept each other and their quirks > Meguru realizes she never actually though Azuki was disgusting, she was just feeling insecure after the stuff she saw > Comes back to Azuki, and she wholeheartedly gets back together. Azuki could do so much better IMO. Rant over.

I get the vibe Niji is going to get a Chapter 18.5 in the tankobon? Or maybe Twitter pages?
Overall I liked it, this manga showed that Usui Shio has range, even if in the end it returns to her wholesome habits.

Thanks for the TL!

It's definitely rushed.
With the way the story was going, you'd think Azuki would make peace with Meguru but end up with Remu. With Remu making Azuki touch her and their shared interest in dolls leads them to slowly fall in love with each other.

It's a great way for people who feel disgusted with themselves to come together and accept themselves like Sono Bisque but it also shows the flipside of things: Meguru and Niji cast out for lashing out at the world than doing something healthy.

Since it's rushed, you can't have that kind of resolution without the resolution intself feeling rushed. You'd need more chapters and an expansion of the world beyond the sphere of these four people. The one we got works for the space it had left.

Still, I'm happy with what I go. I hope the tank has a bonus chapter resolving Niji and Remu.

I'm pretty disappointed in this ending, I really think it would have been more emotionally resonant if Remu and Azuki got together and Azuki was able to move on from Meguru and their final meeting was about them making peace with one another.

The whole story is about "deviant" fetishes, and even in the chapter Azuki and Remu get the final pages together because their relationship was always the central pillar of this series. Honestly, Meguru's character in general kinda dragged the rest of the cast down in hindsight.

Niji dear, you could actually have a chance if only you weren't so delusional and forcing your delusion to Remu!

kind of sad that series ended so quickly. im quessing it got axed in which case author did good job in creating an rushed ending that still fitted the general themes of the series. still kind of dissappointing.

This feels like a natural ending, even though it came down to the ax.
I could see a way to have this exact ending, with one or two more volumes to increase the drama and flesh things out, that would satisfy everyone. Shame it wasn't in the cards, but this was still a good read overall.
Thank you so much for scanlating all the way through!

I like the ending (and I think this is how the mangaka wanted it to end from the start) but the pace to get to it was kinda weird. I hope theres some complementary oneshots about Azuki and Remu partnership.
