@Simpleton Probably just random fantasy setting gibberish, to be honest. Final Fantasy comes to mind. For instance, FFXIV's story revolves around the fact that a big ass crystal of godlike nature bestowed the crystal of light on your character. It's not like a fashion accessory, it's inside your soul or something at a guess. That entire series is obsessed with magic crystals in various other forms too.
