Wow that’s stupid. If he had known about it before hand and ignored it, then him apologizing would make sense, but to apologize for something you had no knowledge of, no relation to, weren’t anywhere near, and no responsibility for is idiotic. Now if the author did this purposefully and is planning to explore his budding god complex in the future, then it would be cool, but I seriously seriously doubt they will put that much thought and depth into the character and plot.
