on the flipside, I'm kind of amazed this manga's taking things like an individual woman's personal image issues with her appearance & body and validating them through the lens of the MC.

Like, sure, you're correct - there's something for everyone's tastes about anyone in the world. But the operative point is her being happy in her body, for her own sake, and the author using the story to not marginalize that very real truth is kind of impressive, given the premise of this.

I went back to read the first couple chapters because I had remembered reading it how she can't really turn it off, it's just that wherever she looks, whatever's in her field of view just dumps info into her brain.
But it seems that was for things like objects in her field of vision, because when she was explaining her powers in chapter 1/2 to the MC, she makes no mention of whether it's a voluntary or involuntary process.

But yeah - it's definitely a problematic power, which explains why she only told the MC because she saw enough of his life story and memories to determine he was a genuinely nice person who wouldn't sell her out to governments/shady organizations for personal gain.
I do think she offers a very effective element to the story of preventing characters from "hiding intentions" in these scenarios that come up, which results in this weird dual-space of "the MC can know everything/one is on the up and up when they approach him", but also "everyone's personal life is exposed to the Fiance character", which is its own, objectively bad can of worms.

So I guess it comes down to what she uses it for, and to what extent she invades the MC's space and life. I could argue that nothing thus far has been seriously problematic or dangerous for him, beyond having a clearly clingy girl who's also willing to let him touch other girls & women to help them because he wants to help others and she wants to help him achieve that.

But in terms of morality her ability is absolutely rife with potential for really bad shit.

Yeah I totally agree! This whole series is horny AF but I’m glad all of the girls are happier with their bodies. Each person has their own problems and it doesn’t matter what someone else may say, if they’re not happy then they’re not happy. Having the MC validate her worries and be willing to help is a great thing. Especially with major issues like only having one breast due to an accident. Your self image can bring so much confidence and happiness to your life it can’t be understated.

MC has already helped all of these girls gain more confidence in themselves and it really shows. Imagine if he did start a “clinic” type business and helped women that had breast surgery after cancer. If he can even regrow boobs the possibilities are endless.

You're thinking too small. In a world where there is :
a) magical skills
b) those skills can be levelled up
There's no reason a (sufficiently high level) "boob correction" skill couldn't be used to straight up remove cancer. No chemo, no surgery, just a lot of (outrageous) fondling.

Of course my point is entirely dependant on "boob correction" being a faithful translation. For all I know the real japanese name wouldn't have this implication at all ?

Definitely - one of the previous chapters even had him wondering if he could take out that "charm" element and the pleasure effects that are currently baked into the skill, and possibly even figure out how to do it without direct physical contact.

Which would help in the instances of working with anyone with trauma over contact due to something like assault or abuse - and if that's actually worked into the series in a future character, that's just another point in favor of "this author's taking a horny manga and making real statements about consent and bodily agency". (The Fiance's mind reading notwithstanding; I see the importance of it for keeping things out in the open for the MC with everyone around him and serving as a plot device, but it's a very problematic power on its face, depending on how she chooses to use it.)
