True, but imagine we're in a tense situation, things are looking rough. And suddenly, in the next chapter, we are introduced to a random like this one, and in the chapter after that, they come bursting through a wall to make it worse.

This... feels like the format of the final chapters of JJK. Sukuna's kicking ass, character's backstory is shown, character shows up to get bodied, repeat xD

I know that's an... extreme example. But I do get what you're saying, my only concern is managing the pacing. Cause going from a cliff hanger to a character intro is gonna bother me if the intro ain't fire.
