wow, the sensei actually being the voice of reason here?
Yes and no. About not wanting Reiji being a murderer, yes, but how tf can she be so insistent about demanding someone who doesn't have reasons to live and got cucked from his motivation to live. It's like telling Stephen Hawking to fucking walk by himself. And we know Reiji won't obey her that easily.

From the other hand, Mao proved himself to be a pathetic son of a bitch. There's no excuses about being weak or inmature that would spare him when he doesn't even remember Nagi's true name and even has the audacity to tell Nagi if she's testing him. Reiji realized he got manipulated into killing himself by him and got pissed enough to roughly push Nagi away (even if he doesn't want her to apologize anymore. A reminder Reiji doesn't want her to be regretful of anything) and want to spite him once again by being even willing to murder Nagi in front of him, and Nagi was trigger happy to follow his desire based on the maiden smile and the regained bright in her eyes.

Once again, Yuri's insistence with Reiji living is not selfless, despite of her being willing to give up on him, she wants to satisfy her selfish savior complex without even trying to understand why he doesn't want to live. It's simple, he doesn't have a reason to live anymore and her scandalous sobs only made things worse. Everybody here is just trying to satisfy their selfishness and can't think in the other ffs. Although the key here: Reiji DID think in Nagi's true wishes (even if his motivation is to prove Mao he was wrong is also selfish) based on her answer.

Only 2 chapters left and the bridge scene is finally happening. Although it seems there's going to be a twist based on 2 drafts. How can that person be Nagi if she was still there with Yuri and Mao?? Is that Chako?? Gen?? A mysterious force?? Is the Kurose generational curse beginning to twist Reiji's head to ever make him hallucinate with Nagi?? We should start to consider again the superstituous/spiritual shit happening to Reiji's bloodline. Yuuko believed in boohoo ghosts, saw hitodamas and medamas and also hallucinated with her loved one and projected him into other people. With 2 chapters left and Ryou already spoiling how it's going to end based on the 2 drafts she posted on her xitter (near fading eyes & ☔️) and the color cover of this page (Reiji's almost dead and drowning head (blue toned opaque colors) being grabbed by 2 lively red toned and saturated color hands that happen to be Nagi's based on the bleeding left hand), it's quite predictable how it's gonna end.

Reiji still has to know 2 things: What Nagi wanted to tell him when she ran back to him before being tackled by Yuri and her true name. And looks like the 1st one is what is what's gonna save him.

The stretch is real. Seriously this end game is ruining the whole series for me. Reiji it's time to shit or get off the pot.
What’s worse is that Nagi is someone related to him (cant remember if it’s blood related). But to be fair, I remember she was forced to live on her own after few years so maybe that’s when she changed her name to Nagi.
He's her uncle according to the backstory that's been given.

So her name is now confirmed haru which matched the name in the rumors of child p0rn s3x trafficking.

Though what’s the end game here?
It means he has been trafficking so many girls he doesn't even remember Nagi's name.
Rather than trafficking multiple girls I think he came up with so many different aliases for her and is now "confusing" which is the real one just to hurt her more. In the chapter where it was revealed she was sold there were multiple different names in the bubble panel. Iirc her name was always scratched out in the backstory but in that bubble panel they used the name Haru so I think it's also an alias.

After reading this chapter, where no resolutions have been reached and with only two chapters remaining, it seems unlikely that we'll get a fulfilling and well-rounded ending.

Thanks for the chapter!
It's Ryou's running issue. Himegoto & Hatsukoi Zombie also got halfassed ends.

yeah there will be no light in this abyss there is no salvation, goodbye reiji
He's not dying. Neither Nagi.

might be because this is midway through endgame and it keeps jumping back and forth without proper writing to lead into these jumps. He is fully ready to do what he wanted to finally but the teacher randomly crying and shouting something of 0 importance to him is making him just drop the knife, ignore everything and leave Nagi?

It just is a bit weak right now tbh. There is no actual impact, 0. Yeah, we get the nuances and how he really feels etc. but it is incredibly stale, ending in a cop out the last 10 times.
Keep in mind Ryou had to correct and add more pages into the tankoubons to give coherence to the events. Considering Hatsukoi Zonbie and Himegoto also got resolved in the last 2 chapters (Tarou confessing to Ririsu in the penultimate and Eve being restored into a first love zombie and ascending to the heavens and Tarou reaffirming his feelings in the final for HZ and Mikako's situation being resolved in the penultimate while Kaito and Yuki revealing they have a secret relationship in the final one for Himegoto) i'm leaning to the possibility it's Ryou's issue.

A hint these wrecks of final chapters are half beyond Ryou's control: she posted on her X the Yuri flashback panels from 180 and showed a composition error. She may not be good at landing the endings, but at least she's honorable enough to show the mistakes she did to her followers. Blame Young Jump editors too.

at this point i cant even take this seriously anymore. this feels so bizzare for some reason.
I mean... A pedophile yandere highschool teacher is threatening to murder the sibling of a girl he got into child porn, whom MC is trying to kill first as an excuse to kill himself as well as a means to escape reality of having been brought up in a household with an abused mom and lots of freaky pedophilia all around. Yes, it's weird as shit.

tbh, I'd mad if this ended up being happy ending, heck I'd even be mad if they continued their lives, because it doesn't make sense, the characters are rotten to the core, they can't be saved.

I think it's the spirit of the abyss legend, the manga already hinted the supernatural thing in some chapters. That would explain why Yuko saw a Akira like person. If it isn't the real Akira, it's the abyss inself taking the form of a loved one through the deep desires of the person.
A reference to Thanatos no Yuuwaku. Go and read that short story. You'll crack an important code about the running theme of this manga.

I guess we'll have a clusterfuck ending. Nothing will be resolved.
I suppose that woman waiting at the bridge is Chako.

People criticizing Reiji leaving are missing a key plot point, Reiji kept clinging on to reasons to keep living, trapping himself to the town to keep living, and suffering. Reiji realized that nothing he could do would achieve anything, killing Nagi and himself would be pointless, killing Mao would be pointless, nothing would help him or anyone. Ms. Shiba telling him to leave was just the final nail in the coffin. He left them all because in his mind he did all of it for nothing. He feels he'd be better off dead.
