Sorry but I'm still not entirely convinced she's dead. Either the mangaka is trying to make the reader doubt it by onscuring to show her dead or she isn't. We didn't see her passing out after Gen strangled her and she could totally been washed ashore somewhere close by.
If I'm wrong then props to the author but for now I expect her to return.

Yuko's body hasn't shown up yet so she might not be dead. If anything Gen might be lying to protect Reiji and give him a reason to leave. He might be going in to confess for killing Reiji's dad or his girlfriend if anything. Which would explain why he wants Reiji to stay outside.

Why are people so hung up on needing to see everything for them to understand what's being conveyed? I really wouldn't put it past the author to keep her alive for stupid reasons, but has no one who's reading this ever heard of subtlety? Maybe people should try reading between the lines more rather then focusing too hard on what is and isn't shown directly to you.

It could end in the chapter 138 easily (vol 14 started in ch 129) or maybe we get an epilogue (and a bigger ending volume, like up to chapter 139-140). But yeah, Abyss is dying as confirmed by the author since end of january.

I think this would be one of the first chapter when im not wallowing or cringing in depression. She got what she deserved , our main boy's source of all the troubles is gone, felt good about this chap.
