Man, there is so much potential here. I feel like Reiji and Nagi had a brief window when they could've pulled each other out of their respective abyss, but that fuck shit Shiba sensei stole her phone. They both clearly can free each other, just needs one of them to concede ground by plucking up the courage to face their own shackles to the abyss.
Nagi clearly doesn't want to do JAVs. She just needs someone to support her and be by her side as she begins to tackle her trauma. Reiji, chained by his own trauma, is unable to do that atm, but hopefully having one last heart-to-heart conversation with his mother will give him the answers and closure he seeks/needs to break free of his abyss.
