My group's first finished project. Yay.

Okay time for a little speech.

Back in chapter 2, I said that I will finish this project within the year provided the last vol comes out this year. We cut it very close(4 days to spare), but I managed to keep my promise 🥳
Thank you to everyone who patiently waited, followed and commented in every release. Comments are encouraging for me. Makes me feel like I'm not doing this project for thin air. And thank you to those who always take the time to leave me a thank you note or comment in my rambles. I don't answer all the time since I don't want to clog the comment section with my comments(that would be sad) but I do appreciate and read everyone's comments.

And I'm aware I'm sounding like a broken record, but a really really big thank you to the donors who came in and helped me with donations so I can buy the raws. I was able to pick up some new projects thanks to your generosity.

For this last chapter, by act of sheer nepotism, that ugly dead looking cat in today's credit page is my ugly cat. She was born with lame hind legs and a curved spine, inherited her mother's genes of having her teeth fall out early in life and now only has several teeth left even though she's not old. So she usually just swallows her food like an anaconda. Despite her disability she runs really fast when I call, dragging her back legs and running like teke-teke. If you don't know what a teke-teke is, this is it

If she feels too lazy to come when I call, she wags her stunted tail at me like a dog.

Oh, end of year tally. I first posted my first project ' the person I loved' end of January. To end of December date, I've done 14 volumes, 1 one hour drama cd and 3 oneshots and 11 of them are with sfx edited.
Haven't touched my games in half a year

Just 2 more volumes and I'll clear my manga backlog and I'll finally get to play red dead redemption 2 and silent hill remake

I could care less what the step sister's motivations were and I love how that tea cup gift for her was like rubbing salt on the wound. She said she didn't want to end up like her mother, but they ironically ended up being much more alike than she feared. Marie was the only one in that moment who showed the true love and affection that she longed for, and yet she closed her off like she did everyone else. She made that bed, now she must lie in it.

Other than her and the prince under jurisdiction, happy endings to everyone all around! 😃

Final score: 8.7/10, but I'll round it up to 9 for this site.

I came in here to get a "vibe check" I guess they call it, and now I will read the series, but I'd say for me, a good romance is a good romance. (although I am not interested in yuri even if I don't dislike it).
I do object to some shoujo mangas when the guy is too assertive, in the sense when there is a disparity of power in the work place or when the FeMC seems to lack a certain agency...there is a fine line so is hard to make a general case, it really depends.

Would I like to read one more volume of it? Obviously. But the current length is nice, the series was quite fast yet it got all the points across.
I won't comment on the lack of punishment for a friggin' sorceress that killed her own mother. Prince got relatively much greater punishment for getting himself charmed by her.
