@fianrt Well, I am a bit lacking on tech, as in a vid camera (yea, I am a cheapskape!), I can try to describe a bit of it.
Cover is a black with a special "waterproof" and strengthening piece inside. Also, the cover itself is larger around the edges of the book, and designed so that they "fold in to protect the pages. Actually kinda neat. Inside there is a "Presented to" page with the names of the person who gave the bible as a gift, as well as the reciever's name and the date this occurred: 10-14-27 (October 14, 1927 - just over 90 years ago). It is an illustrated bible, so scattered through it are various images showing scenes form the Bible, as well as those of certain locations, maps, and other various tidbits (like pictures of the coins of the time period). There is a reading calendar in the back, as well as a timeline calendar for the various events. The pages are very well bound, and would, if I were stupid enough to try, would actually take some effort to take out. Also, they are well worn, with a few minor stains scattered through. This bible was obviously well read and used, but also extremely taken care of. Even now, I am still findinmg those 4-leaf clovers they placed in there.
I did a quick look online and found an image that is very much like the cover, only the Bible I have is in much better condition:
Just to note: I actually have a few books older than that Bible. One of them is 176 years old this year. Finding books like that is a serious matter of luck sometimes, or just searching bookstores that specialize in them.
