They call it nose blind for a reason! When in a particularly odoriferous environment the brain eventually fazes out stimulus from odor producing molecules that occur too often within a certain period of time. That way it can detect new scents, while still immersed in the more common odors of the environment, and of your own body, unless you refocus it's attention to it intentionally. 😷
