They're still infamous, nowadays they just add zoomer jargon. Not to mention that some like DisneyPlus use the dub as subs, which makes the shows unbearable. Because of that, I watch Medalist with Japanese subs.

I’m pretty sure they insert English slang that has no equivalent in Japanese (I don't speak Japanese, but even I can tell from watching it on Netflix that it's impossible for them to talk this way) - Also, the original manga doesn't use these slang terms.

They're also transcribing the contents of the dub, rather than the original dialogue.

god why can't streaming sites have Aegisub or something similar... literally EVERYTHING but Crunchyroll has the dogshit subs. It's legitimately THE only thing that makes me want to get crunchyroll...
