If only you did something with all that material.....

[Manko-sensei]

MaoMao, why is MangoDex checking if I am a bot when I enter the webpage?

Because you might be a bot
Fun fact, 4XX responses went up a lot since the bot check got enabled on the .org side (it was already active for a while on .dev)

[TheOneTrueBen]

What a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Yeah, but the band's pretty good.

Play it again, Figrin!

So, the bot check's finally up on the .org side...

Surely this means the limitations for not-logged-in users will eventually get lifted, right... right?

What Does This Do?
We have limited our advanced search and the amount of chapters guests can read to 10 chapters per day. By doing this, we are able to prevent bots, scraping, and as a result, ensure a smoother reading experience for users with an account.

Not sure exactly what's wrong but combined with slow internet (5 minutes to load a page) is very inconvenient.

Ok it's mostly the slow internet.

Yeah...

[Bireus]

I've been out here all night, I've been out here all day

[Dverin_Oshiban_Duren]

When they add a new chapter or volume cover right after you finish catching up

That requested feature to update the cover based on the volume you are at isn't out, right?

[solstice258]

Now we'll finally know if all these were bots or not.

Guests atm are less than a 10/th of that

Are you the son of @theseer @thyhatredgrowswhileiamthriving and @TestAddress ?

Oi, why did you mention me twice?

[Manko-sensei]

Oi, why did you mention me twice?

Same reason I tag @BakedBanana and @Halo at the same time.

[BakedBanana]

Same reason I tag @BakedBanana and @Halo at the same time.

Dood, you didn't even interact with @Halo so you wouldn't even be able to tell if we were the same person or not. This is your fault, @pandascepter.

Furyou Taimashi Reina chapter 49

[panzerkampfwagyu]

Guests seem consistently down to reasonable numbers, bot's seem to be gone for now

[BakedBanana]

@Angry_Panda
I see the MangaDex Reddit is keeping the pie discussion alive.
