So despite reading all of these comics as soon as they come out, I guess I'm more of a forgetful old man than I let on. Can someone explain the not-dead girl and the Octopus devil to me, so that I might try and retain the information?

We have no idea what's going on with Fumiko, the girl. Her powers/contracts will probably be revealed later.

Octopus and Yoshida are (likely) separate, and Octopus might be living in Yoshida similarly to how Future was living in Aki, so Yoshida and Octopus were probably consumed and regurgitated simultaneously.

At the end, the dying Fumiko clone(?) gave Yoshida her heart which he gave to Octopus, which probably gave it a power-up and let it separate from him and fully emerge out of CSM.

This is such a mess, no one really knows exactly what's going on, if you say you don't find this part 2 confusing you're simply lying to yourself. Part 1 was amazing, this is such a letdown for this manga
