Gonna be honest, the first part of the episode really left a bad taste in my mouth, i hate slaughter of innocents, but if it's the main cast doing it it's grounds for me to drop a series, it also makes no sense to leave them dead since licht can revive them, just move them somewhere far away from dystopia and revive them with a note warning them that if they come back it will be permanent.

Yeah i get people are gonna dislike my statement here but it's not easy for me to ignore cold blooded murder.

Yet another example of the ultra dense protag. Dud is so dense, you could slap him upside the head with a tit and not only would he think it was his fault, he would automatically assume any reaction was anger, outrage, or horror of being sexually assaulted.
I'd say that he's not being dense he's just emotionally mute at this point. At first he was very emotional and seemed to have a conscience about the actions that were going on but now he just seems to stop caring even a Demon Lord noticed it.

I wana believe you're correct, but authors have beat this hackneyed cliché like the proverbial dead horse. I would say Licht lost much of his emotions after his first autoresurrection.

OTOH that shouldn't really prevent him from noticing the rather obvious affections and actions of Faris and Rose. This is why I place Licht in the ultra dense protag category. Because it's going to take the girls all but raping him before he catches a clue that they want to be more then just friends.

The main cast is the horror movie for everyone else.
'I don't want to play in the water anymore, we're going to make it dirty [with blood]' is quite the line

Let's be honest. You're betrayed by your kin. You're thrown into the Demon Lord's arm, with nowhere to go. While they "value" you there, you've witnessed how brutal and merciless they are (Remember, he got blown up by Aria just to Prove A Point). Any person in his shoe would completely shut down their "emotions" because they know they're just one paper thin layer away from being annihilated, or sold off to the next demon lord if the price was right.

Maybe that's the author's intention - to hell with "clues, hints, whatnots", if you want him you go for him?

I did for a while but eventually it got to be a bit too "evil" for me.
I think the point that sent me over the edge with overlord was the nazarick invasion arc where they killed even people trying to flee.

Welp, this manga isn't interesting for past few chapters.

I kinda was hoping it would become something greater, but after 37 chapters and this swimsuit chapter, I decided to drop it.

I guess I was expecting too much. I thought it would be one of my comfort manga, like Re:Monster, where I could just shut my brain off and enjoy reading it.

After 3 LN volumes (1 season in anime) it became shitshow with stupid weak-willed but OP MC, who can't even communicate properly with his servants and edgy outrageous stuff happened only for the sake of edgy outrageous stuff often without any plot reason.

Losing emotions or becoming emotionally mute doesn't work like that. You lose the ability to express and/or feel emotions but you don't just suddenly lose the knowledge of what emotions are or how/why others express them.
For that he would have had to been born without emotions and up until now just mimic others without fully understanding why they felt them. And we know that's not true.

No, he's just a poorly made dense protagonist.

Their entrance is in the middle of a raging sea where even maou thinks its a pain to swim in.

I doubt those people were ordinary village girls.

It could just be a fan service chapter.
It's not in the middle of the sea, it's at/near a seashore as we saw back in chapter 2 where the MC walks to the location.

The girls are wearing civvy clothing, they have no weapons, we don't see any attempt to fight on their part. And their dialog indicates that they were "just taking a break", i.e. not adventurers going after demons.

All indications are that they are innocent civilians who unwittingly wandered into a dangerous location.

We might criticize them for not knowing better, but that's it. But that really goes on the author since ordinary world lore would let people know which areas were not safe.

Read C2 again. It's hidden and practically need some random (bad) luck for you to throw a stone to activate it. And even then, you willingly walk into an unknown cave totally disregarding any potential threats, that's on you.

None of that contradicts what I said: It's not in the middle of the sea, it is near a shoreline, and the MC walks to the location. Therefore, its quite possible for random civilians to find it.

Maybe the door is hidden. (It was hidden when MC first encountered, but we don't know if the door later got re-hidden.)

The question is whether or not they are just innocent civilians, and all evidence says that they are. Again, you can criticize them for not knowing better... but that's really on the author. (E.g. if random dungeons in the wilderness are a problem, then people would know better than to wander into random dungeons.)

Nah, I totally understand it.

The thing about this manga (and plently like it) is that they're usually targeted revenge stories against evil people. As an audience it's kind of satisfying for them to reap what they sow and receive gorey karmic retribution. But then these were just complete randoms, completely separate from his former party and government.

Imagine your family and friends getting killed like that just because they took a few steps too many down a beach.

Heres the thing if I was in texas and I saw someone walking into my property with a no trespassing sign. The next time anybody sees them they will have 50 bmg rounds in my head. This pretty much feels like the adventurer's are a state funded terrorist group going to a different country to kill its residents they deserve to die they are not innocent.

Well first off, .50 BMG won't put a hole in your head, it will remove your head and probably a good part of your torso, .50 BMG is a modified round based on a german anti-tank round and is very much capable of being modified for anti-tank capabilities, with the drawback being ammo size and limited firing ability outside of a tripod for most people.

As for adventurers coming there, i'm actually unsure what your expecting me to say here, they are going there on orders from a king to explore for a potential place and it's at least partly implied that dystopia is intentionally leading people into a meat grinder, including newbies and kids, perhaps it's because i don't believe in dishonorable killing unless you have no choice but at least the ones in this episode didn't know they were invading a already inhabited dungeon, they were exploring and as for your "trespassing" argument, yeah, your also legally required to make it known your property is private, there is unowned land out there after all, most people think dystopia is either not a dungeon, or if they do, it's one that's been dead for a century, your argument is that someone exploring ruins should rightfully be massacred because they didn't know someone new moved in.

Look, you don't have to agree with me, but your not gonna convince me otherwise, this to me is disgustingly unjustifiable.

People seem to forget that we're reading a manga with the DEMON side as the main characters here. If the reserve happen, and some female demons wander into a human dungeon and immediately get slaughtered, I'm sure no one would bat an eye.

Get this. Dystopia is already a known dangerous place after the kingdom sent adventures there and no one returned. Words should already be out that everyone is to stay away from that general vicinity, so anyone choosing to disregard that has it coming. Even if the kingdom tried to hide this, it's already a known fact that demons exist in this world, you just don't go dilly dally into an unknown cave without any protections.

Imagine your family and friends getting killed like that just because they took a few steps too many down a beach.

I'd always teach my kids to stay away from strange places, strange houses, strange caves, and NEVER wander into unknown locations. In an ideal world, we would supervise them and make sure they don't get themselves killed, but if they're ignorant, rebellious or simply doesn't acknowledge the danger they could put themselves into, that's on them.
