Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses
Far too few ways to express the state of that mandate with the built in structure that fights with modern communication infrastructure. The incoming mandate is one of the smallest yet.
I do fear that when the first two boxes don't work, only the third has power. No idea where I heard it before, but politics has three boxes to generate change. First is the soap box. Second the ballot box. Third the ammo box.
Thankfully some modern democracies are living up to what the USA's Founding Father intended, with having the Constitution as a living document. It hasn't changed enough since it was created. Need a new one badly, but I wouldn't trust those likely to write it with making it.
