So that's why system is a bamboo rat. I remember system taking the form of a boy for the ending in one of the arcs (the one where she had to lose weight), and was wondering why his default form was a rat. Clears up so many questions for me, XD.

bruh, why did the male lead get a happy ending too? I mean, what exactly is the point of "cheating men must die"?

The male lead having a happy ending was fine, he wasn't a scum just a misguided guy. His engagement to original Luxia was the typical loveless political one among elite people and he didn't know her identity as Miao Miao so when he thought that he found the girl that he truly liked after so long he broke things off. Also, original Luxia's wish was to protect him, not abuse him. He was quite decent actually.

@onionskins the male lead didn't technically cheated on her cause he had thought that the yellow hair girl is actually su luxia but u actually do have a point. Cause though he has a fiance, he cheated on her cause of 'true love'

Eeh? I guess, huh, it's fair. Didn't have much vindictivness still...having a happy ending that doesnt concern the spirit SLX is very strange, but i guess its expected with this storyline

LOL-- So her little guy could've taken any form (e.g. super hot ikemen), but was turned into a bamboo rat, huh 😂

@onionskins The original Chinese name isn't Cheating Men Must Die. It's Wan Zha Chao Huang which I think translates literally to "ten thousand scums bow to the phoenix" or something like that.

@Nudlw Now i understand. Whenever i read this series, i always ask myself why this is called "cheating men" even though the female antagonists are more scummy.

Yay happy ending! I'm curious if this is the end or if there's more stories to tell about newbie Su?

Thanks for translating all these chapters.

@onionskins Cheating Men Must Die is part of the official title. Specifically, it's on some of the title pages even on the Chinese raw, in addition to the Chinese title. I am likewise annoyed by how the female antagonist is typically made out to be more of a scumbag but I guess short of going the movie star arc or that guy who died real fast in the current main series arc the cheating men typically don't have a whole lot to worry about in their lives while the girls who want them are much more likely to be desperate.

@Almirage I tend to think it as like, since the ML is often attached to Luxia in some way, the FL and Luxia more often come into direct conflict. Like, more often the ML just wrongs Luxia in some way, while the FL is more likely to actually attempt to hurt her. They don't seem much diff in morality, it's more that Su Luxia has to counter the FL more so they get more focus.
