Point:
Vol.2's got way more cute romantic moments and Hiyori fan service. The drama's pretty short this time, just Yoshihide trying to get close to Hiyori's mom to get a chance to talk to Hiyori again. But that whole thing wraps up fast once Yusuke and Hiyori officially get together, and she finally works up the courage to tell everyone what actually happened with Yoshihide. In the end, Yoshihide locks himself in his room and drops out of school, losing his childhood friend to Yusuke and losing Nina to the basketball captain on top of it.

Over at the basketball court, Yusa Gakuto, a basketball club member, crushes another student in a 1 on 1 match, then challenges Yusuke, who ends up winning thanks to his height advantage. The other guys, Yusa included, get a little jealous seeing Hiyori cheering him on, assuming they're already dating.
★ Truth is, Yusuke and Hiyori aren't officially together yet, he's still waiting until she's fully moved on from her ex, Kouma Yoshihide. But to everyone else, their relationship already looks like way more than friends. Yusuke hears gossip that Shimura Nina, the girl Yoshihide cheated with while dating Hiyori, is now dating the basketball captain, Yabuse. There's also another rumor saying Nina's not actually dating him, just constantly flirting with talented players, which makes the other female managers hate her. That gossip gets Yusuke thinking more about his own relationship with Hiyori, not wanting people to lump them together with Nina's situation.
★ As a thank you for Yusuke helping out and Hiyori tutoring Yuki, Reika and Yuki gift them a pair of aquarium tickets. Yusuke and Hiyori get super excited for their next day off together. The aquarium turns out to have amusement park style rides too, not just fish exhibits. They enjoy a bunch of rides until Hiyori drags him into an extreme, adrenaline pumping one. He's honestly scared, but pushes through since he doesn't want to disappoint her. After getting off, his face goes pale, so she makes him sit on a park bench and rest his head on her lap. When he brings up dinner plans, he says he wants to spend more time with her, making up for the time they lost during Golden Week. She's overjoyed, even grateful her big chest hides his face so he can't see how embarrassed she looks.

★ Mutsumi then asks Hiyori to go pick up a newly bought microwave from the electronics store with a "guy friend." Hiyori finds that weird since the store could just deliver it, and quickly realizes her mom's trying to set her up with Yoshihide. Instead, she brings Yusuke along. She doesn't blame her mom for it though, knowing it's really her own fault for never being upfront about what actually happened with Yoshihide from the start.
★ Yusuke starts feeling conflicted about where things stand with Hiyori. After talking it over with his mom, he finally decides to make their relationship official. ★ In Hiyori's room, Yusuke confesses his feelings again. Unlike before, when he asked her to wait, this time he genuinely asks her to be his girlfriend. She happily accepts. Not long after, her mom comes home and is shocked to find an unfamiliar guy in the house. Hiyori introduces Yusuke as her boyfriend. With his support, she finally works up the courage to tell her mom the truth about Yoshihide's cheating. Mutsumi's completely shocked and disappointed in him. I got dumped a week before my birthday. Then on my birthday my ex said "can I do anything for you" I said "spend the day with me" she replied "sorry i got other plans". At that point I was over her. Then I talked to a woman that hangs out in my rest area at college. She gave me her number. Fast forward we got married and have kids. I also found out my ex cheated on me. Glad I dodged that bullet.
