yeah, honestly I've been expecting the whole series that at some point Miyahara was going to realize the boy likes Yuki and would try to set them up just to create even more situations of Miya and Arima being together and have her fall for Arima along the way, never expected that Yukihira was going to try and play the wingwoman precisely because those characters usually end up with one of the parties.

I don't think it would work since the main gimmick of the manga is MC trying to get closer to Yukihira but doing it to Miyahara instead, if Miyahara started actively trying to help MC with Yukihira the gimmick wouldn't work anymore

I honestly don't know what expect, but Yukihira as a wingwoman work in the gimmick of the story, since he is trying to get closer to her, but is being pushed into Miyahara instead

Miyahara is an obstacle between Arima and romance, not the actual romance. In fact, from the beginning, the biggest obstacle Miyahara presented was people getting the wrong idea about what is very clearly a platonic relationship. And clearly, Miyahara is a bigger obstacle than you realise, because even YOU got the wrong idea!

I assume you watch roadrunner cartoons thinking that it's ultimately about the coyote getting to eat the roadrunner in the end, because that's what he's trying to do each time.
