Is this age? or am i just that soft? it was such a simple thing yet I'm touched.
Hmm that's not entirely how I read this. It seemed more like the OG plan was just take the power out of Amako and put it in the box -> box stays in village forever thus fulfilling the 'early warning' role that the priestesses did. The 'secret' the mom found is likely the fact that the power didn't HAVE to stay in the box and could be given to someone else. Now this is conjecture on my part but the chief did also say he wanted to make an elite unit of foresight warriors so perhaps a second effect would be the box duplicating the power or somehow affecting multiple people at once. With those 2 effects it would warrant Towa's destruction, which for some reason required it's activation and thus a sacrifice. The healer's party seems to be way more powerful than the hero's. This would be conqueror is about to get a ride on the humiliation conga.
I am guessing they refer to it as a person - inbefore it used to be one, par for the course - and Towa is a feminine name (there's even a thread dedicated to her). The recent chapters have consistently made mistakes, whenever "vessel" as in old/new foresight holder and the computer are mentioned. Having read so many shitty scans my brain autocorrects pronoun and reference mistakes without me noticing it half the time.
2 years ago, kid was ment to be tossed into the machine and power be transferred to presumably chief. Maybe there was a plan to mom->Amako->chief to consolidate all the power? It's quite confusing, when everyone is the bloody vessel, the seer, the machine and the recipient... Og use was for the machine to hold the power, however, it could only be used while someone was plugged into the machine. This design most likely didn't end up with the seer comatosed. When mom found out about the changes, she sent Amako away and then tried to end the experiement, but wound up drained. Now the chief wants more, since his ability is so limited.
Guess that sums up this arc.
Got that Oshino Shinobu pactnea's already got him till death do them part
Well, to begin with, Senpai never had a chance. All of her attempt to be cute were easily shrug off by Usato. 😂Awwwwwwwwwwwww, Amako's truly ahead of the competition... while Senpai's stock kept getting lower.
Well, it simple showed that the guys was a noob when it comes to precognition abilities, while Amako is a pro.Yeah his limited version is worthless, the mom clearly could see much further. But he can only see 15 or so seconds into the future. And clearly not at all times. But lets scale him up a bit, lets say its at all times. Its worthless to a warrior. It divides his attention. And worse it will never show him accurate info. The reason being its to far in the future for use in a fight. The moment he changes his actions to counter his opponent they will see that change and change their actions. In a fight to many actions and responses happen in 15 seconds. In a fight you want no more than 1 second or so of future sight, as that way it just is augmenting your reaction times.
Now what about outside a fight, its great vs assassinations at best, but only if he is using it. It can help in a political discussion, as you could look at samples of futures to learn what your opponent will say if you do blank, which may even give info if you consider bribing them or something and you see the result of if you did. This is how I think he used it.
But his experiment clearly failed, they lost the true power of it for what a skilled merchant or politician would be able to do without any power.
Amako not only sees much much further into the future, she clearly sees way more details. She can actually make use of it and position herself in a fight.
The one thing I can't figure out, does he not know its true power? He is after the power, but has no fear of it being wielded. He knows hers is stronger, but does he think its only mildly? The moment she put up no fight, that she just went along with this, should be setting off alarm bells. Yet he barley reacted. He of all people should know what that reaction meant. Yet doesn't?
Alongside that, we had 78 chapters of translations with names to reference before Koppisekai picked this up, but let's not reference those and call Arc Aruk in one chapter and Aruku in the next, and Lyngle, "Llingle".This translation would really benefit from a proofreader. Some of the lines seem slightly incorrect and/or incredibly hard to follow.
