Something that always bothers me is when people add a genre tag because of something that happens in a single chapter, and sometimes just a handful of pages of said chapter. That does not define the genre of a work. The best rule of thumb for adding genre tags is, "when in doubt, leave it out." While what happened to the girl was tragic, it does not make the story that of a tragedy.

I find the best guideline for what genre tags a series should have on here is to look at what genres are listed on MangaUpdates.

Edit: I also second what @Kohpi said above. Much thanks to Phy's TS for the good work, as I am enjoying this series, as well.

@Phymiath - Ignore the jw non-factors and haters and continue to translate this work, you are doing an amazing job for us fans. I really like isekai genre and moreover dark graphic stories. Some people don't have a clue and are just selfish because the story don't go how they want, nobody force them into reading a fictional work in the first place, they can simply drop it and read something else. Thanks god mangadex is not like the crappy and awfull batoto.

@Aricitic Oh, woops, I must have displaced the name with the comment because of the default images or something. My bad, I'll fix it now. As to your response, I had to go check because I thought Deadman Wonderland did have a gore warning in its description back on Batoto at least, but I guess that was wrong, so I'll just agree that it should and I'm surprised it doesn't. Gore itself just means "blood that has been shed, especially as a result of violence," though I don't expect every instance of bloodshed to be labeled as gore, especially in manga. What matters is how much is shown and what the context is. If it's being displayed as a joke, like a giant spray of blood from the nose of a pervert, a common anime trope, then it should not be counted as gore. I wouldn't even consider most battle manga or ones where people lose limbs to be gore as they're generally not shown in much detail. This, however, has the intent of brutality towards a child and is, in my opinion, just barely graphic enough to consider it for a minor gore warning. It's no super detailed sliced in half brain or the entirety of a person's guts spilled out on the floor, but still. At the end of the day though, if the scanlator thinks it's worth a warning, then so be it.

@Phymiath You're doing great. Don't let people get you discouraged, if you enjoy working on it, then keep up the good work. :)

Sorry for the silly question, I have few questions regarding this manga, before I could safely read this series.
1. Is the tag harem for real? (I'm a sucker for harem)
No Harem No Life, that's my motto
2. are there multiple romances in this series? (I'ts kinda a bit hard to swallow for me, but it's all fine if every 'good' heroine only falls for the MC ? )

Spoiler very welcomed

Thank you.

gaigous, then I apologise for misunderstanding you - and not recognizing your name from Batoto, I would have read your response more carefully had I remembered our previous conversations. It seems we are on the same page and of the same opinion (roughly anyway)... (Still wish I was innocent of some gore though...)
Yes, I wish tags were used more accurately.

Eloyas, CoolOtamegane, which is why the situation didn't bother me as much as it could have. Other manga with similar situations are worse because the people aren't obscenely overpowered... (Overpowered, yes, but not "this is normal" overpowered - which I am sure I am not explaining well.)

Sheogorath85, I agree, however I believe that polyamerous (or love-poly) should be added as a tag and "harem" should only be used when one individual has a relationship with multiple people. One good example is the gods possessing magic users and magical swords users academy, where the MC'S god is the... King of gods... ('twould help if I could remember it's name...)

KazumiSangaku, I would like to finalize this: I wasn't questioning the scanlater's right to out the warning, I was questioning the need to put it in the first place. Phymiath has since explained their reasoning for putting it, which I understand and agree with. And, honestly, I agree with what you point out as well. I should probably have reread the warning and it's context before commenting on it.

@Aricitic Oh yeah! Now I remember ya! We did align on quite a few topics, and now I remember our convo about harem tags and the lack of a harem in various works labeled as such, those were some good times~

@JustNatsuki Isn't it just!

gaigous, since I brought it up here and you brought it up as well. The manga I was badly failing to describe earlier (that is actually a real harem) is: Magika no Kenshi to Shoukan Maou, which just updated.

I guess a competent, intelligent villain who could possibly give the heroes even a semi difficult time was too much to ask for. Oh well.

nah, that's for later. dumb easy targets, extension of the main group, that's the regular stuff for early story segments.

@larcek We're 24 chapters in. Some manga don't even make it past this point at all. How can you actually call this an early story segment. 3-4 story arcs is not "early".

This is the problem, every author has to stretch the content to breaking point because it's their job to draw manga and write novels.

Three Days of Happiness had more character depth in one chapter than 100 full isekai manga combined. But Three Days of Happiness can't make money because you can't scam people into buying 10 volumes of garbage.
