I don't mind at all if they change that part personally but I doubt they will change "too" much. But who knows. I mean, so far, the main differences I remember from manga (which is adapted from LN I'm assuming) and the WN is that extra mission with the guild where they went to that village outside and Allen's intervention was removed when the shitty prince's magic went out of control during practice session iirc. Here's hoping they'll at least rewrite it to be a bit more digestable.

The part I hated even more is the cliffhanger they did with the bandits, God, that pissed me off even though it was just for a short moment as I was binge-reading the wn. I can imagine the panic here if they do the same cliffhanger. lol

It's already a given that the Royal + Ramslett marriage is essentially cancelled by this point, but of course the involved parties (or factions) will have to keep their fists clenched and avoid starting a civil war since the Estonian Kingdom/Empire is too much of a threat for them ignore and start a fight within themselves. I am guessing that is why Ana is crying, because she felt disappointed that all the support she gave the crown prince was thrown away just because he wants another woman (and she probably is blaming herself in some way too).
Anyway, the only way to protect Allen is for him to be either investiture him as a retainer or for him to be married into the ducal family. Tbh, I'd say start from the start or earlier than this point, it's pretty short, so I'm not asking for a lot to cover lol. I think manga's 7th-10th chapter was around 25 for wn which is where I started at the time, and checking the titles (which are self-explanatory), it's now at 44. The manga (obviously) skips on certain monologues and some details are different than the manga (LN adaptation), plus some chapters had iffy TLs or just skims through certain events, it's why I'm asking to just start early on.

Just a duke declaring his support can be a powerful deterrent. It's putting his families pride on the line and for a house that the royal family had tried to pull in by marriage, it'll eliminate the idea from a fair few on that side. Any other noble would see harming his family as declaring war on a duke as well, not something that sane people would do. Plus most nobles could see that he acted not as some commoner trying to rise above his status, but acting loyally against an unjust duel against 5 opponents. The only ones I can imagine trying anything at this point are the losers of the duel and even then maybe only the prince who clearly isn't above low blows.
