Worth repeating:
I'm not sure there are many romcom MCs who have anything to stand on saying someone should just come clean and say something.

Even so, poor kids having to process the GIGO data their parents give them and still become whole people.

Three cheers for Nitta hurting, but still sensitive enough to pick up on and address the elephant in the room for someone else. What a j***🍑 of an ex.
And upcoming sympathies to Asanagi for needing to help lance the emotional abscess, that takes a toll. (Especially when she's not in the best of shape herself.)

As someone whose parents divorced when I was 13 or 14, it was a rough time. It really felt at the time that my parents only cared about themselves.

I remember I had the option to choose who I stayed with and I chose my dad because the dude my mom cheated with and married was a real racist piece of crap. My sister wasn't so lucky as my mom didn't want her. My mom, of course, broke into tears and tried to guilt trip me with shit like "You chose your dad because he has a computer!"

When I grew up, I realized just what a narcissist my mom was and cut ties with her. Haven't spoken to her in 20 years now and it made my life better. Don't need that toxicity.

It's nice seeing a series dealing with divorce in a more realistic manner.

That's a helluva lotta foreshadowing.

LN peeps, please help out a WN bro: is that konbini scene in the book or is it manga-original?

As rough as it gets for her, she does get to sleep with him in her bed all night with his head buried between her tits and with her parents' approval, so it's not like it's all bad.

It's so refreshing to see a series where the characters behave like actual people and not all conflict comes from the leads constantly having convoluted misunderstandings and failing at basic communication.
Funnily enough, as real as this chapter sounds like, the roots of the current conflict are still lack of communication.
