They'd have brutal segs and 10 kids and still call themselves friend.

They have their first time in the spring after her mom deliberately blue-balls them on a family trip where Maki accompanies them. She's still quite salty about allowing this current sleepover while thinking the two of them have been officially dating since sometime before the accidental sleepover at his place (she referred to him the next morning as "kareshi" and neither of them corrected her), so knowingly delays things for them by a few days -- days where Umi is so desperately horny that she almost makes Maki take her in broad daylight on the side of a mountain. But she follows this up by dropping them off together after the trip at Maki's place and taking his mom out for drinks all night with an implied wink.

Marriage has been discussed (and so have kids, a bit), but that'll come after uni. Maybe it'll be in the WN/LNs, maybe not.

Done told ya we don't play those Heisei/Showa games in these here parts, pilgrim
.
Could you tell me the number of the chapter?

Fuck, I need to read the novel now... I'M GETTING SO MANY SPOILERS LMAOOO

This story is good because you can get all the mayor plot developments spoiled and it will still be worth reading because it's well written.

In fact, the plot points aren't anything surprising at all. We've seen all these events across many stories. But the execution of it all in a complete package is what makes this such a compelling read.

Gurosh we almost had the most lewdest scene "the first kiss"
I love the father heck I'd say I love the entire family
Even the "happy accident" which really hits home
Maki has definitely walked a great path

That's a great sentiment at the end and it does really tie together well with the romance. You have to stop dwelling on the past and choose to move forward (and all that jazz). It's such a fortune cookie message, but it's so true. I say this as someone who has to tell themselves this everyone and still too often feels bitter or regretful over a past I can't change.

Generally, it seems like the family has already accepted them as being a couple which is cute af of course of course. Love the dad because I'll say that I've very much fallen into the trap of "what does it matter?" when it comes to my own feelings and troubles. It gets harder the more you let these thoughts fester and older you get too. There really isn't anyone else out there who can truly advocate for you and look out for your best interests. And I love any good person who 1) knows you well enough to know when you're holding back and 2) won't allow you to hold back with them. All around great trad for me.

She knows he love her and he knows she love him
Only thing stopping them from becoming a couple is family trauma

Spoiler please. Will MC have harem later on?
As a person that have red till the current LN vol (well somewhat, still need to finish the in-betweens, only red the epilogue and afterword for answers.) Answer is No, Maki is a pretty serious guy with his relationships, so harem is out of the question

He is definitely viewed by classmates that way. It's explicitly stated in the spring break cram school arc. He is already (and has been for some time now) in an entirely unwanted triangle that is just now being openly addressed in the books.

The fact that he's with three S-tier girls pretty much all the time -- two who turn down every guy who approaches them and one who's stopped being the school bicycle since she started hanging out with him -- does create a lot of talk. Not all of it is just talk. Even in the stuff the manga has covered, it's plain that Yuu has strong feelings for Maki -- feelings that she's quite some time from understanding properly, of course -- and i think we've also had the bit where Nina would be all over a slightly hotter version of Maki in a heartbeat. [/SPOILER]

Thing is, it only looks like it from an outsider’s perspective. Within Maki’s circle is farther from the truth, everybody knows the man is pretty unflinching (WN 290-291) or v7 Epilogue (examples of it). Even everyone within the group knows that he won’t abandon Umi.
